This last weekend was more gray and rainy than most summer days. So we dug through some thrift store shelves and found lovely glassware among other treasures. The previous week, we were visiting friends in Portland, Ore. who kindly let us gather up their backyard lavender flowers.
Metal rimmed, green and ornate ––vintage glassware–– begging to be filled with something beautiful. We opted for beeswax, coconut oil, wild things we gathered (lavender!) and wicks.
Turns out, solid beeswax candle lights are hard to burn evenly and quite expensive –– even when you're pouring your own. But mixing beeswax with half coconut oil adding lavender essential oils and lavender buds to the mix made for a more even less "tunneling" burn that relaxes you at first sniff.
These candle lights are very much oversized giving a regal look with an Anthropologie twist in the vintage, coloured glass with metal rims.
These are posting for sale soon on Found Natural Goods online Shoppe. Email to inquire before they're live: firstname.lastname@example.org ***UPDATE*** Candle postings are now live on the FNG Shoppe!
